Dear Friends in Co.Cork., Thanks for this opportunity.
I received some information last year relating to the parish records of
Dripsey/Innishcarra. I wrote a letter from Australia in January 2000, to
The Archdeacon of Cork
The Venerable R.E.B.White,
Carrigaline Road,
Douglas, Co.Cork. Ireland., asking for details and how I could access and
pay for same.

Does anyone know how we can make contact with the above Archdeacon or
whoever may hold these records, as we are willing to pay a reasonable fee
for new information on marriages, deaths or from whence they came. It would
be a shame if the information is in the records held by the church and we
are unable to access them. Of course there may be nothing there, but these
four children were christened there, so it is more a probability than not.
It is not a common name in the south as most
researchers agree that the families came from the north of Ireland. We have
the births to Richard Mulholland and Letitia Shepherd Letitia Rose ch
11.2.1846; Maria Louise ch 3.4.1847; Richard ch 3.3.1849; Rebecca ch
23.10.1850.

We did visit this beautiful part of the country in 1995 and saw, what is
thought to be the site of the original Inn run by Richard and Letitia.
I would be grateful to anyone who can show us the way..... If it proves too
hard, well we accept that, but we have to try.
Sincerely in Searching...Thelma (Bostock) Birrell in Australia.
