I am new to this list. I checked the archives and notice others are
searching Cork to Wales rellies. These are new lines for me and I have
several families with Wales/Cork connections. Some data is proven and
some are still best guesses.
Timothy Collins b. Cork married Catherine ? b. 1791 in Cork
Children:
1)Timothy Collins b. c1825 Cork married in Merthyr Tydfil Margaret
Murphy b. c1825 Cork Her father was Morris/Maurice Murphy They had 7
children all born in Merthyr Tydfil Wales.
Margaret b. 1853, Mary b. 1855 (my ggmother), Hannah b. 1859,
Timothy b. 1864, Elizabeth b. 1867, Hanora b. 1871 and James b. 1874

2) Mary Collins b. 1823 married in MT Wales William Reardon b. 1821
father was Timothy Reardon. Had 2 children and then William died.
Timothy Reardon b. 1847 and William Reardon 1855

Mary then married Michael Donovan b. 1823 father was Dennis Donovan
There first two children were Mary b. 1859 and Hannah/Joanna b. 1860

3) and this is a guess Denis Collins b. 1816 married Mary Driscol in
1853. They are not in the 1861 census so must have immigrated to ??

Have no idea where in Cork these people came from. Denis and Mary
Collins and the 2 Reardon boys may have left Wales in the 1800's the
rest are still there in 1891. Have never made a connection with any
fellow researcher but still keep hoping. Joan in MD
