It is perfectly fine otherwise to reply off list for chit chat or common
interest.. If
responding on list to a particular ? I usually hi-lite with ctrl C and
paste ctrl V into a
new message the relevant text or list post for example\

That way others can see a reply. Reading the archives is a good way to
