I continue to search for my relatives in Cork and come across some commonalities that I thought might be telling to someone with more knowledge then myself.

Upon arrival in the US, many of my relatives seem to work in Clothing/Hosiery Mills or be dressmakers. Does anyone know if that would indicate they came from a specific area in Cork in the mid 1800's?

I would appreciate any insight.
