We had an ancestor who was a rigger in the naval dockyards all of his life.
dockyard workers had a pension scheme and the records of their retirement
and pension paid is in records at PRO Kew. I wondered why I could not find
his death in Devon where he was when he retired but from the records found
his pension was later paid (quarterly) to him in Bristol. It gave when he
died the name and address of his widow in Bristol.
