Listers,

My husband's great grandparents were Michael Driscoll and Ann Donnivan. From
their marriage record I know that Michael is 22, a laborer, b. Ireland and
his father is Daniel Driscoll (mother's name not given). Ann is 20, b. Ireland
and her father is Timothy Donnivan (spelling from record). They married 11
Oct 1853 in Cambridge, Ma. They lived in Somerville, MA.

I have a small notebook that had been kept by one of his sons. In it Annie
Donovan and Michael's grandparents are listed as:
Timothy Donovan and Margaret Sexton Donavan
Daniel Driscoll and Ellen Driscoll Driscoll
Wm Burke and ? Caddigan

It states that Annie left Ireland on the John Currier 15 Aug & arrived 5
Sept. I have her arrival record in 1850 from the manifest of the Currier. There
as also a Johanna & a Daniel Driscoll with here as well as a Caddigan boy.

On another page that contains information about Michael is the following:
Cork-SW
Poukeen
Baltimore
Ballyhulla "Prousta Houlle" parish
Skibbreen 5 (?) mi E
Then it lists "Cape Clear" I don't know if it is referring to the island or
to the name of the boat. The name of Annie's Boat was in parentheses also.

With this information perhaps someone can help.

Marcy
