Hello all

I am new to this list having just found a connection with Cork in my research. I have the following names and would be interested in hearing from anyone with these names in their research.

I have a John Harris with son Watkins Harris born c1835 in Cork
Watkins married a Mary Wilson (father Charles Wilson) in 1862 at St Nicholas, Cork. They, at some time, moved to Liverpool and had three children that I know of: Charles Allen Harris, c1867(this is where my connection starts), Mary E Harris, c1873 and Watkins J Harris c1875.

If anyone has access to the 1851 census for Cork and could look up a John Harris with son Watkins it would be much appreciated.
Watkins is rather an unusual christian name and was wondering if John Harris had married a Watkins and then the name was passed down the line. I tried the IGI to see if there was a John Harris who married a Watkins but had no luck.

I have managed to find a Watkins J Harris on the 1901 Census for Liverpool but no Watkins senior (presumably had died before the 1901 census).

Any help, much appreciated.

Regards Diane
(living in Bath)
