Jerry,
I know nothing about Griffith's Valuations, but I do know where to find
Rathduff on the 6 and 25-inch scale OS maps. Rathduff and Grenagh and surrounding
townlands are shown on six-inch map 51, in the CS (County Series) maps for Co.
Cork. For additional detail (and if you're really rich <gr>), you could go
to the 25-inch scale maps. As Rathduff townland is nearly 800 acres, it takes
more than a single 25-inch map to cover the townland. When requesting these
maps, the six-inch map designation is usually expressed in Roman Numerals (LI,
in this case) to avoid confusing the 6-inch map number with the 16
subdivisions into which the coverage of the 6-inch map is divided. For Rathduff, the
maps would be Cork CS - LI - 7, CS - LI - 8, CS - LI - 11 and CS - LI - 12.
Number 12 shows only a tiny portion of the SE corner of Rathduff, so if you're
cutting costs <gr>, you might want to gamble that number 12 would be unnecessary
for your purposes. If you have any further questions, drop me a line.
