Hi List,

I am researching both my parents families.

My father's mother was Johanna (Hanna, Annie) McDonald (born 7 August 1886 Cork Ireland).

Siblings include Mary, (1874), Jonny-Billy (1876), Ellen (1877), Patrick (1879), Catherine (1882), Julia (1883) and Kate (1891).

Her parents were William MacDonald (abt 1849 Cork) and Brigid Daly (Ireland).

William's parents were Patrick MacDonald (abt 1799 Reenascreena Co Cork) and Mary Coakley (?).

Johanna came to Australia in the early 1900's and lived in Kalgoorlie West Australia, she worked as a house maid in my father's grandmothers hotel in Boulder City.

My mothers grandparents were James Morrissey (born abt 1830) and Catherine O'Donnell (abt born 1827)(believed to have come from Limerick).

Their first child Michael Joseph Morrissey was born in Limerick but that is the only real evidence we have about their past.

James and Catherine arrived in Australia in 1853 on born the 'New Zealander' and settled in Victoria.

Any help with either of these families would be greatly appreciated.
