Dear Phdraig,

Thank you so much for your reply - I will be first at the
door of the LDS
centre when they open next.

SNIP> I may have been a little unclear in my post -
Jeremiah is the son of Daniel DINEEN who I think may be
Patrick Stephen's brother. It would be Jeremiah's
grandparents who married in 1850.

O.K. Patricia, I see what you mean, I have confused his
grandmother with his mother. So, let's take another look,
and make some reasonable assumptions.

Assumption #1: That Jeremiah's father, Daniel, was a
brother to Fr. Patrick Stephen Dinneen (or Dineen ) S.J.
born Dec 25, 1860 to parents who were married in 1850 ;

Assumption #2: That Fr. Patrick S. was the last born
child, then Jeremiah's father, Daniel, was born between
1851 and 1859.

Assumption #3: That Daniel was, say, 20 years old when he
married, this would give us a range of 9 years - so, Daniel
married between 1871 and 1879.(Marriage Indexes: 4 Year
consecutive dating 1869-1872 # 0101251 to 1877-1880
#0101253).

Assumption #3: That Jeremiah was the first born of that
union - not a very good assumption, but it gives us
benchmarks of time from which to start checking). Then he
would have been born between 1872 and 1880.
So, you need to check the Civil Indexes of births for the
registration district of Killarney. The films are
consecutively numbered from 0101049 (1872) to 010157
(1880);
(Thereafter: 1881-1882 #0101058 ; 1883 # 0101059 ;
1884-1885 # 0101060 ; 1886-1887 #0101061, and 1888-1889 #
0101062)

Is Mise Phádraig
