Information about Church of Ireland clergymen is pretty easy to track
down via the Representative Church Body Library in Dublin. They
provided lots of information via mail in response to my enquiries. For
more information, go to their website....

The main source of useful genealogical information for me is described
on the website as follows:
"Apart from Church of Ireland archives, the RCB Library holds a number
of collections with obvious attraction to genealogists. Among the more
important are the biographical succession lists of Church of Ireland
clergy, compiled by J B Leslie; collections of copy wills; extracts from
the destroyed 1766 religious census; and collections of pedigrees."
So, Joanne, I hope your ancestor was a Church of Ireland clergyman!

Subject: [Dublin] clergyman
Hi Listers
I have found on my GGGGrandparents wedding certificate that the grooms
father was a clergyman. Joshua FREEs son was born in Dublin in 1837 so I
am wondering if there is a way to find out more about Joshua
(clergyman) and his family. Any help gratefully appreciated,
Thankyou.
