My maiden name Pentony... have been searching for anyone with this name.. now, just been informed that my Gt. Gt. Grandfather John Pentony was born 1840 in Dublin, can anyone vouch for this please... where abouts if possible parents etc...

John Pentony settled in Liverpool had a Leather Factory, building still stands.. he had a brother Henry who went to USA, found descendants there..

He is listed on the 1887 Census in Liverpool aged 47 so that makes (if it is correct!) born 1840 and states Dublin.. this was sent to me from a friend in UK today..

Some of the Pentony sons, entered Ampleforth Monastery in Yorkshire. UK. I visited there in April this year, and found the graves..

Anyone with this name, I would be interested in hearing from you..
