Mardi,
You'll be interested in the book "Ballinasloe Inniu Agus Inne" A story of a
community over the past 300 years.
It lists your Colohan family as being in Ballinasloe for over 200 years.
Also, lists it as a name seen on chimney stacks in the town. There may be
other references as just about every page is loaded with family names of the
town.
Martin is also listed as early traders.
The book , paperback, is 245 pages long and I'm told it is available on the
internet from Kenny's Bookstore in Galway City.
