Partial list of passengers from Ireland to NY in June,1903
The GERMANIC, A White Star Line Steamship, was in operation from 1875
through 1950. According to the book: SHIPS OUR ANCESTORS CAME ON, this ship
could carry 220 First Class and 900 Third Class Passengers.
The following list of passengers sailed from Queenstown on 4
June, 1903 and arrived in New York on 12 June. They are are only a few from
the "Steerage List or Manifest of Alien Passengers For the Immigration
Officer At Port of Arrival". Passengers had to indicate that they had tickets
to their final
destination, who had paid for their passage and how much money they
had if less than $50.00.
MARY BRENNAN, 19, servt. from Kerry to Milwaukee; passage paid by brother,
John Brennan, 65 6th St, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has $20.
JOHN MCKENNA, 19, labr.from Castlegregory to Holyoke; passage paid by
sister, Ellen McKenna, Pine St. Holyoke, Mass. has $30.
JOHN O'NEILL, 26, tailor, from Kerry to New York; passage paid by sister,
Mary O'Neill, 83 West 119th St. NY. has $10. Joanne Ferriter
