<<Can anyone familiar with Jeremiah King's County Kerry Past &
Present. confirm that name abbreviations in "Mi, Mce & Mary (Ferriter) of
Balloughtra" refer to Michael and Maurice ? Also can anyone confirm that
John (Ferriter) of "Main Street" would have lived in Dingle ? >>

MI is Michael
Mce is Maurice

I suggest "Main Street" is in Tralee the capitol of Kerry unless there is
some other indication in the sentence that referred to Dingle

your townlands in Stradbally and Killinny are in Castelgregory RC parish, and
Townlands near Dingle are in Dingle RC parish, to be sure please check out
the following page from the Dingle web site, it lists the civil parishes an
corresponding catholic parishes for Corkaguiney (thanks to Brendan Lynch:

Corkaguiny Barony, County Kerry, Ireland</A>

make sure you check the main index page of the Kerry site for any records
available....
