Greetings!

I am posting this for a friend who does not have a computer.

"Have been researching elusive Irish great grandparents since the 1970s; all
help appreciated:

"Bartholomew (Batt) FLEMMING, born 6 January 1826 in County Kerry (where?);
emigrated from Liverpool 8 December and arrived New York (?) 17 March 1848.
Filed citizenship intent in La Porte, Indiana 16 January 1852. Was section
boss on the railroad moving west. Died 20 March 1892 in St. Louis, Missouri.

"Batt married (when, where?) Ellen HEALY/HALEY, born January 1830 in West
Cork area (??). Her father had a dairy. Her sister Bridget remained in
Ireland, but Ellen emigrated circa 1847 (one story says she and Batt met on
the boat). An old letter mentions meeting a niece at the "Cross of Ballard."
Ellen died 24 January 1904 at Laddonia (Audrain), Missouri, buried 27
January 1904 in St. Louis, Missouri.

"Another query: these are nephews of Ellen HEALY/HALEY:

HALEY/HEALY - Seeking descendants of brothers Dennis HALEY (HEALY), born 15
May 1854 in Mount Vernon, New York and Thomas HALEY (HEALY), born 31 July
1856 in New York City. Both policemen in Buffalo, New York; Dennis appt. 27
May 1888, Thomas appt. 16 April 1884, became Sgt. and retired 30 November
1915. In 1899 lived on Gelston St. and attended Annunciation Church. Thomas
and wife, Catherine Doblan HALEY, had daughter Mildred, born 2 January 1899;
also deceased daughters Elizabeth and Frances.

Thanks for all possible help,
Mary Ellen"

Thank you in advance for helping my friend,
Betty
