Peggy& List,

I left this out but I just searched and searched and found my tickets over
the internet. But the rub was, I could not get the bloody site to accept my
reservation for several reasons so I just got on the old fashioned phone and
called the 800 number for British Airways. I had the flight numbers and
times and he was able to find a fare $1.50 dollars higher. I did not quibble
over $1.50 and immediately made the reservations at the good rate. BTW, I
am a computer expert and trainer and it was rough for me. I searched for
over 3 hours and spent 45 minutes frustrated at not being able to get the
online reservation to take. I quit and used a human being over the phone but
came armed with the best fare.
Try Cheaptickets.com, expedia, the one you have and yahoo travel or any
other ticket place. Do at least 4 or 5 because each one gets different
results. The different search engines found different fares and routes every
time I ran them. Plus I juggled Shannon vs. Dublin and found the cheaper
fare into Dublin. Also juggle times and days. Tues, Weds, Thurs and Sat are
cheaper it seems. It was an interesting experience and I feel the work was
well worth finding a bargain. My route is strange but it is non-stop from
Phoenix , Arizona to Gatwick , England and a plane switch to fly back to
Dublin. I get 2 hours over and 3 hours layover on the way back--I guess I
can say that I visited England briefly (VERY BRIEFLY!!). It cost me $536
each round trip for the 2 of us to go home. My fiancée and her twin sister,
the O'Hora twins, just got their Irish citizenship based on their Mayo born
grandfather.
Happy Hunting!!
