Killelton = Cill Elton
One Irish dictionary I have gives
Cill = Church and the Elton could be for Saint Eltene see below.
There are two townlands named Killelton in Kerry.
One in Kilgobban and one in Aghavallen
Where does Killelton get is name?
One historical reference I found - says the following
Saint Eltene son of Maolan of Seanchua is named in Donegal- Martyrology,
Feast is Jan II
Liss elton and Kill elton it would appear have some connection to Saint
Eltene.
A word search for Saint Eltene may find you some more information.
