Hello Alan,
I have been in contact with a Kathleen Laffin from Kilkenny about 10 years ago. She said in a letter that the Laffins came from a place called "Ballyconra" in Ballyragget, North Kilkenny.
I replied to her letter but did not hear anymore from her.
I also received a letter from Bridget Laffin from Canada, to which I replied , but once again I received no reply.
This was before the internet and email was readily accessable, maybe today I would get replies to emails.
