There was a Bryan Reilly living in Walkin st.in 1850,and that would be in
St.Canice's parish.
There were about 4 other Reilly families in the same parish.
No Reilly's in St.Patrick's (except one major landowner who is probably not
connected)

No Reillys or Brophys in Poulgour at that time.
The townland was owned by a William Wheeler.
He kept 60+ acres and a labourer's cottage, and rented the rest out to 3
others, including a George Reade who also rented out a labourer's cottage.
So it's possible that Daniel worked there for a short while, and then
returned to his parent's home in Walkin st.

I'm sorry to say that the parish registers for the time period you are
looking at have not been filmed by the LDS.
It looks like you have no option but to deal with Rothe house.
I can't find any children after Mary in May 1864.

If you want to DIY,then you could try the Revisions to see what happens to
the Reilly household in Walkin st.
You might simply find they all simply disappear from the records after
Mary's birth - presumably you have a date for their arrival in Oz?

You could also check the same records to see if indeed Daniel was in one of
those labourer's cottages in Poulgour.
If Bryan stays on,you might be able to find what happens to his descendants.

If you deal with Rothe house, they might be able to find Daniel's baptism
record in the parish records, and his parents and grandparents,as the records go
back to 1768.
This, of course, presumes the family originated in Kilkenny city. They could
have arrived there at any time.

cathy
