I am hoping that someone can help me with information on my Ferguson ancestors from County Leitrim.

This is the information that I have to date:

My great grandfather John Ferguson was married to Mary Connolly. In the 1901 census, I have located the family in the Townland of Derrinloughan, Parish Rossinver, Barony Rosclogher, County Leitrim:

John Ferguson age 52 (born circa 1849) listed in the census as a farmer but he was also a Justice of the Peace
Mary age 52
Patrick age 26 (born circa 1875) IGI says born 05 September 1870
Annie age 24 (born circa 1877) IGI says born 13 September 1872
Hanna age 18 (born circa 1883) IGI says born 25 March 1881
Bridget age 16 (born circa 1885)
*Peter age 14 (born circa 1887)
John age 12 (born circa 1889)
James age 10 (born circa 1891)

I also have IGI's for the following children not listed on the 1901 census:

Catherine born 31 July 1874
Bernard born 19 September 1876
Charles born 25 March 1881

*I do know that Peter (listed above) emigrated to Scotland and married Catherine O'Brien there in 1913. Peter and Catherine emigrated to Canada in the 1920s.
Peter and Catherine are my grandparents.

I was told that Bridget, Anne and Nora (perhaps Hanna) also emigrated to Canada as well. I was also told that Patrick came to Canada but did not like it here and returned to County Leitrim to manage the family's farm.

Any leads or information on connections would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,
Sharon Ferguson
