In 1975 Eamon DeValera, Irish statesman, died. In 1919 he was elected
president of the Sinn Fein Convention. In 1920 he was part of the first
civil
government. In 1922 he resigned from the Dail with his following in
protest
of the provisions in the home rule treaty which maintianed ties with the

English crown. He later was prime minister. My book doesn't go that far,
but
I have menory of that.
