That's the thing about all these divesions......set up *deliberately* to
confuse everyone in the future!
The Civil Parish of Ballylanders is part of Mitchelstown which is a Poor Law
Union; Mitchelstown itself is in Co. Cork; but there's no reason for
Ballylanders Catholic parsh not to belong to the Diocese of cashel & Emly.
Ballylanders RC parish doesn't even have to take in the whole area of
Ballylanders Civil Parish....which is in theory supposed to equate to the
Church of Ireland Religious parish - if there was/is one, and which may
actually not equate to that Civil parish.
Irish Logic....
Answer a question with a question, not to signpost our roads in case some
poor soul might just get to where they want to go - lol - we don't even show
all the roads on the maps.

I thought Ballylanders was considered the Poor Law Union of Mitchelstown,
