If you try these sites you should be able to get a lot of info you need for
the trip
www.ireland.travel.ie/home
www.irishfarmhouseholidays.com
They have loads of useful links too for a holiday such as you plan.
A word of advice....dont try to combine Donegal and Antrim on this trip...it
CAN be done but you will spend so much time in the car that you will not
enjoy the other places properly...there is so much to see and do just in the
areas you mentioned.
Having said that I am "doing" a circular trip of Ireland in July/August
taking in Dublin,Lisburn, Newtownards, Bangor, Portstewart, Belleek, Galway,
Pallasgreen(Limerick), Listowel, Tralee, Clonakilty, Timoleague, and Wicklow
before returning home.......and that means leaving out relatives and friends
in dozens of other places(hope they dont find out!!)....It means that despite
our best efforts we will only be able to spend a little time with each......I
will be going back in September for my holiday and seeing and doing the other
things I want!!
Some people will tell you that they can get to Dublin from Limerick in just
over an hour...and some can..but most ordinary people would allow 2-3 hours
in comfort.
The Irish Tourist Board site will probably link to B&Bs but I have always
found the Farmhouse ones just as good..and cheaper. You will of course get
more B&Bs closer to towns and cities and the Farhouse ones just outside the
towns but with transport they are not a problem at all..and very good.
Hope this helps
Monica
