Hello Again,
I would just like to thank everyone for their
replies to my question about Queenstown (COBH) Cork. I must say that I
have had about twenty replies and all say the same thing. I was just
about to get the Champagne out when I got a message that reminded me
that my GG Grandad may not have came from there but merely left from
there, (a good point) and though this dried the champagne up it did
not dampen my spirits as it is still the first time I have been able
to point to a particular place in Ireland that part of my family have
came from or been to. The strange thing is that every time I go to
Ireland by ferry from Swansea to Cork Ringaskiddy we pass it as we
arrive. My GG Grandad John Hart on my mother's side B 1829 at least
left from there and its a place to start further research. I am so
pleased you can't imagine how it feels to know that I have viewed the
same skyline that my GG Grandad did so many years ago. I got the info
from my brother yesterday morning while telling him what I had found
to date and he was the one who insisted that he knew nothing but
something that I said yesterday just triggered a memory that I have
had confirmed by my other brother so nothing can dampen how I feel
today. Thank you all so much and Share Share Share we are all in the
same boat and need each other at all times.
God Bless you all
Terry O'Connor
