Hello,
I hope you do not seriously think that Fianna was trying to trick you into
going to a porn site, or putting her "favorite porno site" address in her
genealogy links. Does the address http://www.limerick-diocese.org/ sound like
anything but a site for the Limerick Diocese? Doesnt sound porn to me.
Ive wanted to say something about this since the day I read the email. But
tonight I got an email from someone stating that a link on my Native American
page went to a porn site. The URL in question was www.whitebuffalosociety.org
...it *did* go to the White Buffalo Soc. Indian site when I added the link to
my page...but apparently the porn people are buying up normal sounding
addresses, previously used by popular organizations, and putting their porn
stuff on them.
Of course I went right into notepad, erased the link, and re-uploaded my
page! But, as you cruise through genealogy sites, keep in mind that addresses
change so quickly that it is hard to keep up with them all. The Link Checker
that I use only tells me if no page at all comes up on a certain URL...it
doesnt know that the page it's checking for me is now something totally
different than what I intended on linking to.
