Good mornng Padraig, I received a letter from my 89 year old cousin from
Akron OH yesterday. Paul Finnin from Cleveland OH called her last Sun.
Paul's moved to England as a small child because of a job his father
Colim Finnin obtained. He doesn't remember much about Ireland. His
father resided in Switzerland for a time before returning to Limerick
along with his wife Elizabeth a few years ago. Helen my cousin said
Paul said that your sister is indeed the wife of the deceased Thomas
Finnin we have talked about in the past. No other details as to his
(Paul's) knowledge of this. He said he was going to bring a tape for
her to hear of the family when he visits her next time. Don't know how
that would help. Does your nephew so adamant about the spelling of
Finnin have e-mail or would he not want to be bothered? At this junture
I am hesitant to send any more donations or money to parish priests so
they can search records. It would be a big help if I knew what
cemeteries in what parish some Finnins were buried in the late 1800's &
early 1900's. Carrie Hogue
