Greetings to All,

Looking for a connection between our SHAHANs dating back to 1679 in
Barbados ...
(Barbados Book of Wills & Testaments by Sanders & Hotten's List of
Omitted Immigrants and Persons of Quality) ...
These Shahans in Barbados at that time were: Cornelius, Teague, Darby
(Dearmon?), John, Mary, and Thomas Shahan.

We think that the name SHAHAN has been spelled as such pretty
consistantly among the literate in the family, however occasionally
has been found in varient spellings, and of course is most like somehow
connected to the Sheahans,
and other derivitives from the Gaellic O' Siodhachain .
