The place your ancestors came from is Loughill.

They are mentioned on page 51 of "Poverty to Promise"
the book by Valerie Thomson and Chris O'Mahony
on the Monteagle Emigrants.

It appears you have a rich history connected to our
bushrangers.

If you cannot get hold of a copy of the book, let me
know and I will scan the relevant pages and photos
for you.

parents..michael or james[ a butcher]- mary ellen SHEEHAN.They had 5 sons
and 5 daughters.
MARRIED.
margaret NO[W]LAN.born.1796.lochill.
parents. james NO[W]LAN.[ a farmer] margaret or bridget KING
Michael and Margaret had.5 sons and 4 daughters.
They came to braidwood.nsw.australia in 1839 as assisted immigrants..
I would appreciate any help.
