Phyllis,

I know you've had a suggestion that the townland is Pallaskenry. That was my
first thought, too. But the longer I looked at it, the less sure I am. My
second choice was Pallas Grean. Then I noticed the bride's address. If the
initial letter to the groom's address is a "P", then so is the initial letter
of the bride's address. And I haven't been able to find anything like
Penry-on-Thames anywhere along the river. Henley, but that doesn't seem to
fit.

I am also disturbed by the comma after the "Ken" - if that's what it is - in
the groom's address. If it is a Pallas, could that be a Gren (Grean?). I
don't know what to make of the "nary", however. Maybe, in those days,
writers used a comma to separate a word on two lines, where we would use a
hyphen. Dunno.

Anyway, I think the definitive answer will be when the bride's address is
known. The first letter will be the answer. (I know, I know. I'm making a
lot more out of this than it deserves......but I still don't like
Penry-on-Thames).
