Hello Jo,
Would you mind please advising me how you acquired the file information on your Georghegan?
I have an ancestor who was tried in Dublin in 1832 and I would love to get my hands on file information on him. His name was James TIGHE born c.1811/13 and transported for seven years aboard the "Dunvegan Castle" to Australia.
Many Thanks

Edward Geoghegan b 1813 was transported for theft in 1830
and was tried Dublin City the file is extensive.
The papers show he was previously given 6 months for an earlier
offence..also in Dublin.
Can anyone say where I might find details of the trial in Dublin
( he was born there) Am looking for his fathers name.
Appears to be of good family as he was a medical student for some
years I have a dozen possibles none of them named Edward..
I would be grateful for any clue
Thank you
Jo
