is a virtue - hve it if you can - seldom in a woman, but *never* in a man.

Irish or worldwide - I don't know.

Jusrt strikes me that on genealogy mail lists - we all need to have
patience.

Some of us more than others - so that we can make replies.

and many - just so's we don't a make a reply of the 'been there, done that'
variety.

All 'oldies' to genealogy should remember - that once upon a time, they
hadn't a clue...............if they knew how to switch on a computer, then
that was as much as they knew.................

Now - they/we all know so much more.

Be patient with those who are beginning - remember how it was for yourself -
don't cut them short............always give as many details as you can in
any reply to a newbie.

It's so easy to be scared off when you are new - but then, there is the
opposite side of the coin - all people who are new really need to read and
listen to what has been said/written to them. If both sides do what they
should.... well, we'd have no frustrations!!

Read replies : Please and thanks.

Jane
