I'm unsure of how far apart Templeglantine is from Balingarry, but could there be any connection between Curtins in both townlands?

Frank,

I have a couple of CURTINs from Ballingarry but they were RC. Cornelius Curtin, 27, Knockfierna (a settlement in Common townland, Ballingarry parish) son of John Curtin, farmer married on 7 May 1874 to Mary DUANE, daughter John Duane, farmer, Killatre/Killoughty? townland.
I also have a marriage on 3 March 1867 of Michael Curtin, son of Denis, to Catherine O'Brien, widow (nee O'Grady), also Ballingarry, Common townland.

I am probably related to the DUANE/Downes family, not the Curtins.
