Hi Jane
First of all let me thank all listers that have replied to this query.
I am trying to do this on the cheap I guess you could say. This is a fact finder mission and next year I hope to take my wife to Ireland on a "real vacation".
At the same time I don't want to have to carry a switchblade and a body bag!!
I didn't realize Dublin had its less than desirable areas.
I spotted a Hotel in Chapelizod which is 4 miles from city center. Is this a reasonable area? My Canadian Dollar doesn't go far in Ireland. 1 Euro=$1.6 CDN. Plus I need a space to park the rental which may be difficult closer to downtown.
All in all I really don't need "ambience" in my bedroom accommodations. I'll be leaving her at home , sorry to say.
