I just got home from vacation and am catching up on my email. I saw the
discussion of first cousin marriages. They may have been frowned upon but the
church did okay them in Ontario in the mid 1800s. My James Sullivan married
Ann O'Donnell (his first cousin through his mother's side). They got the
dispensation but oh did that make things difficult because James' parents' names
were James Sullivan and Ann O'Donnell.
