Robyn,
Have you thought about contacting the Limerick Archives to
commission a search to find out if they can provide a citation from the
church records for your ancestors Johanna, William & Margaret Hanley?
They have both the R.C. and C of I registers to search and can sometimes
provide quite a bit of info if your family is cited in the records.
Since your ancestor pre-dates the civil registeration process, the one
source that might be helpful to you is the church records. In having a
specific birth year it should be fairly quick for them to find your
Johanna if the parents names are correct. They may also be able to find
other siblings if the parents remained in the area.
It is not cheap to commission a search through the Limerick Archives
but it can sometimes save a lot of time & effort searching other sources.
