Good morning:
A great deal has been said about this County and yet no one has addressed the issue of these Journals which are a collage of headstone inscriptions for each County produced between 1889 and 1916.
There is a group of Journals for Co Longford [as for every other County] that lists every single cemetery and the legible monuments and headstones therein. This series of Journals is the last great frontier of Irish genealogy considering some kind soul burned 80% of the records in the great Four Courts fire of 1922 in Dublin. These Journals were not included.
Q: Who has the Journals for Co Longford and where are they?
Q: When will Eneclann and Trinity get them to the market so we can look at them?
Just curious.
