I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who can tell me what some abbreviations
on the 1901 Co Longford census stand for.

In the Occupation column for Andrew Edgeworth of the townland of
Edgeworthstown is written
"Ex-sch T.C.D. J.P. D.L. B.A."

Evidently the first abbreviations stand for "Ex-scholar, Trinity College,
Dublin; Justice of the Peace; Deputy Lord Lieutenant..." Would B.A. stand
for something other than Bachelor of Arts?

His wife, Francoise, born in France, has "P.L.G. D.C." for her occupation.
Am curious to know what these letters would mean. I take it as "P.L.G" and
"D.C."

Andy
