Subject: [LOUTH] Circulating Petitions
Date: Sun, 17 Feb 2002 23:19:05 -0500
My Dear Louth Cousins,
In less than a week, the members of this list have been asked, twice, to sign petitions or forward e-mail relating to 9-11. One for the men and women who died that day, the other regarding the photo of the FPNY raising an American Flag at ground zero and a proposed commemorative statue.
Both of these topics strike, and pierce my heart. I lost my step-brother, Tim Reilly, at the WTC, and my grandfather was a fireman. BUT, I don't think THIS mailing list is appropriate for such requests.
What I would like to know is who were the men and women, from County Louth, who lost their lives that horrible day. Those are the people we need to memorialize, on this mailing list and the two County Louth websites I maintain.
There are other venues we can explore to support our feelings and convictions about 9-11 in the USA, and in Ireland. If you know of such websites, I think it is appropriate to inform the members of the Louth Mailing List.
Peace and Love,
Cousin Donna, List Manager.
