Hi Earl

I gathered what I could for you here. If you can add more info I can
look into the other parishes on the other names. If this is helpful to
you I would appreciate it if you would send a small donation to the
Church of the Holy Family in Kiltimagh. Fr. Paddy has been very patient
with me in my never ending requests and I like him to know we all
appreciate his generosity.

Nancy

>John and Jane Stanton Caffery (Caffrey) lived in Kiltimagh around 1870. I was grateful to find on one of Nancy's baptism lists that they were listed as sponsors. They were my grandfather's grandparents and he wrote about a visit to them in his book, Theater Tonight. He lived in Ballaghaderreen until he was seven and then came with his parents to the States. I would be very interested in learning more about this family. According to his memory, they had at least three daughters, Anne, who was married to Michael Murphy, Mary Jane, who was married to Joseph Peter Cosgrave (lived in Ballaghaderreen) and Bee, who was married to Michael Howley ( they lived in Swinford). In the baptism record Anne was married to a different Murphy and it could have just been a mistake in his memory. I found a Patt and Mary Howley as witnesses for a marriage in Kiltimagh records in 1861. Any help on any of these would be so appreciated.
