Hi Ailsa, I got all that information from the 4 volumes of "History of Mayo" by JF Quinn. I got the books sent to me from a little book shop in Galway, called Kenny's Bookshop they were $25 for each volume. The e-mail address is (Breda Hopkins is the gal who helped me out) There is lots of Knox's history in the books, and genealogy. If you want me to look up one of those Knox's I'd be happy to help you
