Dear Taleah: There does not seem to be a direct connect. My Martin Duffy was born Co. Mayo about 1824, died December 10, 1864 Rice County, Shieldville, MN. His wife Winefred Gaughan was born Co. Mayo about 1826 died September 4, 1872, Shieldville, Rice County, MN. Winefred's mother Ellen Gaughan born about 1800 in Ireland also came to the USA. One of their children was my GG grandmother, Ellen Duffy Martin [first husband] WHITE born August 20, 1855 in Indianapolis, IN died July 29, 1923 in Spokane, WA. We suspect they came in the USA in the early 1850 first to IN then settled in MN. Does this help?
