I think we can sort this out. I think the "lingachoy" is Lurgacloy (that
would be no. 6 on the menu). It's located about halfway down the Mullet,
between Belmullet and Blacksod. By the way, the Discovery map # 22 shows the
townland name as Lurganacloy, but both the Townland Listings and the Townland
Index map show it as Lurgacloy.

Binghamstown, now known as An Geata Mhor (I left off the fada to keep
rootsweb happy), is about 3 miles N of Lurgacloy, and is the main center out
on the Mullet beyond Belmullet - post office, church, schools. I'm pretty
sure that this is your Binghampton.

The small townland of Cartron is much farther down the Mullet, only 2 or 3
miles from Blacksod Point.

The Mullet's a great place. You should try to get over there to check all of
this out first-hand !!! I hope to be back out on the Mullet this coming May
(if Aer Lingus doesn't go belly-up first).
