These are my grandfather, my mother and my grandmother. For John Peter Joyce I am trying to find a death record in Manhattan around 1947 (we think!). I have his birth (Westport 1876) and marriage (1904 Ballinameen, Boyle) records. He doesn't seem to come ujp in any search I have tried. I am new to this and admittedly haven't yet signed up for any of the geneaology search web sites that you pay for.
For my mother, I am at the end of my rope trying to find her birth record - about 1907 in Co.Mayo. I have everything else, i.e. census (1911), marriage (1925), death (1947) certs. I cannot find her birth registered in the records in Dublin, but find all her siblings (she was 2nd eldest, so it's not likely they didn't register her). Her mother (also Mary Teresa) was a nurse/midwife and ran a nursing home in Ballinrobe (1920s - 1940). Her father, John Peter, was an RIC constable and was stationed in several Mayo towns. I have also tried the parishes where they lived due to his service. The family's longest residence was in Ballinrobe where they are on the 1911 census.
My grandmother, Mary Tersa Noone, Born 1879, married John Peter Joyce, . She died in Ballinrobe in 1940. She came from Tartan, Ballinameen, Boyle, Co. Roscommon and I am tryng to find some connections with the Noone family from there. I believe her parents were John Noone (farmer) and Mary Doyle.
This is my first visit to this board and I would appreciate any advice from anyone. Thanks.
