Hi again, Whitechapel and Holborn are both in Middlesex. I have traced Maurice until his death in 1879 and his family also Thomas he had three sons two died as infants and the third age 21. Kevin you are dealing with someone who did all my research by writing letters, reading microfilms and running around to libraries. Only had a computer the past four years and don't subscribe to Ancestry. A cousin in Calif found the Freeman on Ancestry but I believe you have alot more info on the name. I have Maurices brother Patrick on the 1851 in Holborn with a Callaghan family visiting so I worked on them also. As for Shepherd Ave in New Lots I took a girlfriend for a ride in the 1980's and it looked like London in the Blitz. I recently corresponded with a gentleman in London and he said he came to the US in 2001 and stayed at a YMCA on Shepherd Ave in the Brooklyn. I wrote back that would be the last place a tourist from England would stay. I also did my daughter in-laws family and was
so surprised when I found her family on the same page on Shepherd Ave,in the 1892 Census as my Flynns. My great grandmother on my mothers side was Honora McCormak married a Batterbee also lived in New Lots I beliebe it was Butler and Belmont. Dolores
