The Shooting Season Open
Dublin, Oct. 7
Two land agents named Scott and Froome have been fired at from behind a
hedge at Bally Castle, but not hurt. Both had been previously fired at. A
farmer named Hagan has been shot in the thigh at Ballina. One arrest has
been made.

Lost Man Department
Thomas Fay, who was a guard at the State Prison from February to April
of last year and who worked in Gold Hill for a short time afterwards, is
requested to communicate with his brother, Patrick Fay, care of Thomas Wall,
Jr., Hill street, Ballina, County Mayo, Ireland. Anyone knowing of the
whereabouts of Mr. Fay, or aware of his death, will confer a favor by
communicating with his brother.

Ballina, County Mayo, Sept. 28 - Mr. Crotty, a landlord, was shot dead this
morning at his residence in Kinnury Park. He had been wounded several times
previously.
