This applies to people who post messages using the Rootsweb Message Board.
There's a box where the query forum asks you to indicate which family names
are mentioned in your message. The volunteer wants to be sure that those who
post there only put in the names mentioned in the message (rather than every
name they're researching) so that when someone searches for that family
name, they won't get things that don't interest them.
I'm not sure if that means those who post directly from their e-mail account
aren't included in the searches, though. That could be a problem.
Rita (primarily searching for Mackin/Macken and Costello in County Mayo and
County Galway)
