Have no idea where in Mayo your family originated. However, my g g grandmother's surname was MCINTYRE. She married Owen COONEY. They lived in Achill, just not sure if it was Achill Island or the wee island off of it known as Achill Beg. The timeline is about 1800 to 1875. Their daughter Margaret emigrated to Cleveland, OH in April 1865 (my g grandmother), a son Edward born Achill circa 1840 & a son John circa 1840 - 1850.

Although we are over about 2 X per year, have never done any research on the MCINTYRE name & Achill Island County Mayo. That is part of the plan for our spring trip.
