Hi Marilyn,
This is very interesting. As you know, the top 20th century experts like
MacLysaght and Woulfe reported that almost Irish Clarks are Ó Cléirighs.
When we move back to the pre-17th century seanchas sources, that makes the
Clarks a branch of the Ó Cléirigh who are a branch of the Uí Fhiachrach
Aidhne who are a branch of (or identical with) the Uí Fhiachrach In Deiscirt
who are a branch of the Uí Fhiachrach who are one of the "three pillars" (3
main branches) of the Connachta who are a branch of the Féni.
Best, - Jerry

If there are any O'Cleirighs out there, it would be great to have you DNA
tested. We have found out our Clarks were not Clarks but O'Cleirighs and
need others to test for comparisons. We hope there are other cousins
somewhere.
