Hi - the info I have is only on siblings that were in Steuben Co, NY, but I believe that they traveled thru NYC to get to Steuben. The 1880 census has Bridget McGannon and her children in Steuben. The husband is named Michael but other documents say Patrick. Sons Patrick (1856) and John (1857) are in the census. Another son James Joseph, my ancestor is not listed in the 1880 census although he was still in the city (Corning). He isn't in the census. I know a lot about James, and a little about John. I have lost Patrick. Also there is a woman in the 1880 census called Bridget Cullane listed as mother. Not sure if that is mother of Patrick/Michael McGannon or mother of Bridget McGannon but then why isn't the mother Daffy or Duffy. This family may not be the right census family but there is only one McGannon in the 1880 census. That is what I know. Let me know if any of this works for you. If you know where Bridget or PAtrick was in 1880, then the two families are !
